Finding yourself

Why is it so many of us struggle with direction in life? When the truth of a matter is before we look for direction we need to know who we are. Find yourself. Despite what people say and who they think you should be, dig deep. Dig deep into your heart and listen to it. It will tell you what really matters to you. Don't go looking for something or someone to make you happy. Search deep into your soul. Find yourself then everything else should fall into place.

Old times

Had a lovely evening with my old time boo Miss cupcake..Iv missed her lots and it was nice just to catch up. Was fun reminiscing over our summer songs from back in 2004..when we used to think we were all ghetto and down with the homies! She will always remain and I love her lots. We probably did each others heads in with our own dilemas tonight but I want her to know thats what friends are for.

Crazy, Stupid, Love

So I decided to watch this film since there was a lot of hype around it. I thought its would be your blonde sterotypical rom com..but there was actually more substance to it. A big twist- that you dont expect. I love how the film follows the lives and relationships between a few people, but it soon all merges with a little surprise! And now I realise why there was so much hype around this, it boils down to one man- Mr Gosling! Yes ladies if your looking for a little eye candy and are after a quick pick me up this is the one to watch! Anyway here is the trailer...

Im hoping the kids in school will now think Im super cool, thanks to my new form of bribery! chunky cable knits

So Ive had a couple of  my readers contact me telling me that you like my cuff of the day blog posts, which is lovely- I appreciate the support and my pictures are being hearted lots on we heart it. I guess its my duty to keep this going. Iv played around with the photo settings and tried to keep them in sephia and in b and w I think this way atleast you can see the detail on my clothes.

This is one of my 60's era vintage jumpers I got last winter from my favourite vintage place in Manchester Retro Rehab. They do the most amazing chunky knits at reasonable prices. So if you live anywhere near oldham street its worth a trip there. These jumpers definately keep you cosy through winter. Anyway here are the pictures- hope you like them!

My starbucks tumbler

I got the one on the second to bottom shelf on the right handside.

I bought a tumbler today from starbucks. Thought it could keep me warm on these freezing days. You may notice my obsession to keep warm lately. The tumbler is a create it your own tumbler which has a cool insert where you can put photos in so its like a photo cup. I know your probably thinking so what? But I think its rather cute- well it will be when its finished!

Cuff of the day

As you may see..I like to take pictures of my cuffs..I guess it gives the reader a sense of mystery yet my character. So instead of the typical outfit of the day. I'm going to call this the 'Cuff of the day'. Hope you like it.

Funny things!

Spend half the day at nursery trying to understand the minds of 3 year olds, and the other half at uni (a little less exciting). I realised after going back into nursery how demanding 3 year olds can be. They certainly know what they want lets put it that way. Note to be taken to self: Children = interesting young minds resulting in random activities that dont make sense! How can you not love the little young beings- they have really made me chuckle this week.

I was looking for something smart but channelesque that would keep me warm through these blustery winter days. I must say it was the attention to detail on the cuffs that caught my eye. The ring is something inspired by a little bit of royalty. Im sure if you know of Kate Middleton you will know what I am talking about! This is my first outfit of the day post, or should I say cardi of the day! I hope you like it!

Okay so we've all been there done that and got the t-shirt, what am I talking about your probably thinking? Crying over that guy that you are madly in love with? Sound familiar? Im sure many of you reading this have experiences this. Why do we waste our tears? Crying over that one person that's hurt you again and again. How is it that one person can come along and change your life so much that you feel you cant be without them- when you were fine before? This is for all the independent ladies out there. Go show the world that you dont need a guy in your life to be happy. Smile and embrace change and whatever life throws at you on your own. Easier said than done! Trust me, I know its exactly what I'm thinking too. I guess all we can do for now is hold our heads high and try. Time heals all supposedly, we'll see! As you can see from my lesson of the day I went to see the Lion King with my nearest and dearest friend Danielle. It was a beautiful evening as we had some sisterly time, much needed. The film reminded us both not to worry about things so much. Hakuna Matata!

Its not that easy

Sometimes when you’re young, you think nothing can hurt you. It’s like being invincible. Your whole life is ahead of you and you have big plans. Find your perfect match, the one that completes you. But as you get older, you realise it’s not always that easy.

Sometimes it's easy to feel like you're the only one in the world who's struggling,a who's hurting, who's frustrated, or unsatisfied. But, that feeling is a lie and if you just hold on. If you just find the courage to face it all for another day, someone or something will find the way and make it all okay.

Haven't done a fashion post in a while, I have been too busy being all deep and emotionally entangled with my feelings, Im sure you have noticed! Anyway its time to move on and stop mopping around, Iv had enough. So something a bit on the lighter note. Hope you like it I LOVE it. This week I bought raspberry red skinny jeans and a lovely new winter coat (pictures below). I just need a nice warm hat, was thinking a fury one because I get cold easily- Iv sourced out this funky plum fur Cossack one in Topshop I may have to indulge slightly! Oh and I also noticed this cute jumper below- so I thought Id reblog it. No idea where it is from but I love the vintage feel to it.
